C. Property Holding Agreements. When there are two or more owners of real estate, it is a good idea for them to address a variety of issues in a written property management agreement. This agreement would address, among other things, how income will be collected and expenses will be paid; what will happen if a co-owner fails to meet his or her obligations regarding expenses; rights of first refusal if one owner dies or wants to sell his or her interest, and the like.
