Is there a time limit on how long you have to contest the provisions of a living trust?
Yes. When a person dies, the trustee of his or her trust must settle the trust estate. One of the things that the trustee must do is give notice of administration to the beneficiaries of the trust. The notice of administration provides, in relevant part, that a beneficiary must file a contest, if at all, within 120 days of the date of the notice.
